Living in the East Vancouver provides me with opportunities to explore different ingredients. One of them is Italian. There are couple of Italian grocery stores in my neighbourhood and they became one of my favourite places to shop.

Porchetta, which is “savory, fatty, and moist boneless pork roast of Italian culinary tradition” (Wikipedia) was new to me and I regret that I did not know this until now! Ugo & Joe’s has homemade ponchetta with funnel seeds which I made a sandwich with.

I put romano cheese and porchetta, no other seasonings required. Just enjoy the taste of fresh ingredients. Nothing else to add, period.
